Types of monitor based on color :~
1. Monochrome Monitor
2. Grayscale Monitor

1. Monochrome Monitor :~ Monochrome monitors consist of two words mono means single and chrome means color. Therefore it is also called single color display. The output from these types of monitors is displayed in black and white color. Monochrome monitors were used in the 1960s to 1980s.
2. Grayscale Monitor :~ Gray-scale monitors are similar to monochrome monitors but a gray-scale monitor displays any type of display in gray shades. This type of monitor is mostly used in laptops.
3. Color Monitor :~ Color monitors are capable of displaying many colors. Color monitors display output as an adjustment of RGB (red-green-blue) variations. Color monitors are capable of displaying graphics in high resolutions, due to which the video quality of the color monitor increases a lot. Color monitors are capable of displaying output in 16 to 16 lakh colors according to the capacity of computer memory. The actual number of colors to display in any monitor is controlled by the video adapter.

1. CRT Monitor :~ The full name of CRT monitor is cathode ray tube. The CRT monitor is first of all used video display. CRT monitor pictures shows in black & white color. A stream of very high electrons is used to show images on the screen of a CRT monitor. cathode Ray Tube is mainly Vacuum Tube. CRT monitor weighs a lot. It takes a lot of electricity to run the CRT monitor.
2. LCD Monitor :~ Today LCD monitor is one of the most developed and best device. The full name of LCD is liquid crystal display or liquid crystal diode. The LCD monitor is one of the popular monitors because they are compact and they are light in weight. LCD monitor does not spend much electricity. LCD screens use monochrome pixels to show images. Monochrome pixels are systematically arranged between transparent electrode and polarizing filters. When pixels are polarized. Then draw images on the screen. LCD monitors provide very good quality graphics. A liquid crystal display is used in most computer monitors.
3. LED Monitor :~ Like LCD monitors, LEDs are also flat panel displays or slightly curved display monitors. The full name of LED is light emitting diode. LED monitors create images in high contrast. LED monitors consume less power than both CRT and LCD to work. Therefore LED monitors are also called eco-friendly. Displacing the LED monitors also does not cause much pollution. LED monitors have a longer lifespan than CRTs and LCDs. LED monitors are more expensive than other monitors. LED monitors are the latest monitor of today.
